Join Central Florida NATS
The Central Florida Chapter adopts fully the stated purposes of the National Association, which are:
"to benefit the public good and generally enrich the public through: (i) encouragement of Members to achieve the highest standards in their teaching of singing; (ii) promotion of vocal education and research at all levels, both for the enrichment of the general public and for the professional advancement of the talented; (iii) requiring Members’ adherence to stated ethical principles in the teaching of the vocal arts; and (iv) organizing and affiliating its Members to provide nationwide accessibility to qualified teachers for all students of singing."
Additionally, as set out in the Central Florida Chapter By-Laws [see sidebar link], we strive:
(1) to establish and maintain the highest possible standards of ethical principles and practices in the profession of teaching singing and the vocal art;
(2) to establish and maintain the highest possible standards of competence in the teaching profession;
(3) to encourage and conduct research - disseminating information to the profession at large; and
(4) to stimulate effective cooperation among vocal teachers for their mutual welfare and advancement.
The Central Florida Chapter subscribes without reservation to the “Code of Ethics,” [see sidebar link] adherence to which is one of the conditions of individual membership in the National Association.

As stated in the Central Florida NATS By-Laws:
"All teachers of singing who have been accepted by the National Association into full, affiliate, or emeritus membership, and who reside in the geographical area where the Central Florida Chapter has been chartered or otherwise encouraged to serve, are immediately eligible for membership in the Chapter."

DUES AND MEETINGS:
Annual Chapter dues (currently set at only $24 per year) are payable by January 1 of each year.
In accordance with the Central Florida NATS By-Laws: :
"Notices of non-payment of dues shall be sent to delinquent members on February 1 of each year. If any remain unpaid by March 1 of that year, said membership shall automatically cease."
A $5 late fee will be assessed, beginning February 1, and that individual's membership listing on our website will be suspended until dues are received.
The CFL NATS Chapter will meet a minimum of twice per year, but may meet more often for promotional, social, professional, and/or educational activities. Please refer to our Events page for recent and upcoming events, and also for non-NATS events which may be of interest. Business meetings shall be conducted in accordance with Robert’s Rules of Order [see sidebar link].
